So, What Is Tallow?
Tallow is rendered animal fat, traditionally most often sourced from beef. While it may sound like a new beauty trend, using tallow in personal-care preparations is anything but new.
What has changed is the way modern makers are incorporating it into today's beauty products. Its rich, emollient character makes tallow particularly interesting for balms, creams, moisturizers and creamy cosmetics.
Rather than following the trend just because tallow is popular, we wanted to explore where this ingredient really shines: creating products with a rich texture, beautiful application and handcrafted feel.
And that led us to three very different tallow-based creations.

Foundation doesn't always need to look or feel heavy.
Our Buildable Tallow Foundation was created around the idea that you should be able to decide how much coverage you want.
Apply a small amount for lighter, natural-looking coverage, or gradually layer the foundation in areas where you'd like additional coverage. The creamy tallow-based texture is designed to blend easily using your fingertips, foundation brush or makeup sponge.
It's currently available in four shades:
Fair – Our lightest complexion shade.
Light – A versatile shade for lighter complexions.
Olive – A medium shade with an olive-toned character.
Mocha – A richer, deeper shade with warm undertones.
The result is makeup that can adapt to your routine rather than forcing you into one particular level of coverage.
