Simple Recipes Using Healthy, Pet-Safe Ingredients
Easter is all about celebrating with family—and for us, that includes our four-legged best friends! This spring, why not surprise your pup with homemade, dog-safe treats they’ll love to sniff out in their very own Easter basket?
Here are two easy, healthy, and tail-waggingly good DIY recipes you can make right at home using wholesome ingredients that are safe for dogs.
1. Peanut Butter & Banana Bunny Bites
Soft, chewy, and packed with flavor!
Ingredients:

1 ripe banana (mashed)

1/2 cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free!)

1 1/4 cups oat flour (or blend rolled oats into flour)

1/4 tsp cinnamon
Instructions:

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Mix banana and peanut butter until smooth.

Add oat flour and cinnamon; stir to form a dough.

Roll out and cut with mini cookie cutters (bunnies, eggs, bones—get festive!).

Bake for 15–18 minutes or until firm and lightly golden.

Cool completely before serving.
Storage: Store in an airtight container for up to one week, or freeze for longer freshness.
2. Carrot & Apple Pup Pops
A refreshing, crunchy treat perfect for warm spring days.
Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

1/2 cup finely grated carrots

1/2 cup water

Optional: a dash of honey
Instructions:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl.

Pour mixture into silicone molds or ice cube trays.

Freeze for 4–6 hours or overnight.

Pop out and serve as a cool, crunchy snack!
Note: These are best enjoyed outside or on a washable surface!
